| I am so PUMPED for flag football. My dad always stares at me, not blinking, wondering where he went wrong in raising me, as I babble constantly about the upcoming flag football season, and how we're going to cream everyone who steps in our path. And then he rolls his eyes as I explain that I will be travelling to NYC, Rochester, Maryland and Florida for these tournaments...
Not that I really blame him. I mean, in a sense, I can imagine being like that to my kid. But DUUUDDDEEEEEEEE...me and my jester boys are on a mission, and I am PUMPED.
I constantly think about my goals, and what I want to do, and where I want to end up and etc...I mean, in 6 months, my college years are over. And while I have an idea of where I want to go...big cities with lots of intellectual deaf folks (preferably lots of young professional singles [is yuppies the right word for this]), such as California, D.C., Austin, Arizona? and Seattle. If you know of anyone who meets these criteria in these areas, let me know...I would love to talk about these places and the opportunities they might have. But of course, a huge part of this depends on where I find a job.
Speaking of jobs and goals...I've determined that I am:
A dreamer without a dream. And this is where I'll leave you today...
| Hmm...as a faithful Xanga subscriber, I am able to follow everyone's blogs. I follow a grand total of 4, maybe 5 blogs these days, as everyone else has either stopped blogging (much like me), or I have their names as buddies and they never did blog to begin with.
Anyhoo, Donaldisms is back...at least for this one blog entry. There have been so many times when I say to myself...y'know what, I'm gonna blog today. And of course, I never get around to it.
Can't believe summer is coming to an end...yet, it never felt like it was quite here or that it's quite going away. It's just a weird feeling...and there's no closure to summer this time around, and that kind of scares me man. I mean, I have a job and won't be returning to school until Thanksgiving...so there's no end of summer/start of fall. Guess the defining line for me is September 8th, kudos to all who can figure out why.
Lotsa things have come to pass this summer, and it seems kinda ridiculous to go through them all...'cuz then there'll be many words but less substance. But it's been a good summer.
Current events: There's nobody like your first. Your first always holds a dear spot in your heart, no matter how many others you do. It came as a major shocker...yesterday morning, she was cruising along with me on top and just when I was about to get there, she was shot. She couldn't stop, I tried to neutralize her, but she kept going, which is such not a safe thing, as no doubt each of your parents, or "educators" have told you at one point or another. I've shared many memories with her, both great ones and not-so-great ones. She was always loud...sometimes I was able to shut her up, but more often than not, when you pushed the right buttons, she roared. I was talking to my friends, all of who have had the honor of being in her as well, and there were lots of good memories. While I dumped her last year, and moved on to a newer, better version of her, she still held a special spot in my heart. My '91 Toyota Corolla, I will never forget you.
...i should get back to work...
| Two months between entries...wasn't my intention. But at the same time, you can attribute that to an apparent lack of news. Or maybe its just my humble self thinking that my life is basically not newsworthy. I already feel like I'm rambling on trying to fill in the blanks.
Let's see...since my last entry: I graduated (sort of). I had a girlfriend, and now I don't have a girlfriend. I'm unemployed, although not due to a lack of effort. I saw my sister, and her boyfriend. Harpoonfest. Been back home and now about to head back to Rochester to search for more job openings. Damn...now I'm like, thats pathetic. I musta done something in the past 2 months worth talking about.
That's not saying I haven't had fun...I've had lots of it. Looks like summer's finally here. Friday was harpoonfest, which seems to be the big annual event in boston. Its the place to be seen...and the place to get drunk at. Every year there's a story...2 years ago, it was the lopresti/bowdidge show. Last year, it was brian and the cop, among many other subplots. This year, it was ange not being able to get in because she forgot her id at my place. nevertheless, it was a drunkfest, with delicious fresh harpoon beer.
Yesterday was the BSFFL draft party...the obligatory keg was provided by the last place finisher, and the Williamstown Jesters, Bill Belichick, Phat D and I got paid for our championship performance in the fall. We'll be going for a 2-peat next year.
Ahh...I'm sweating, its hot...I got nothing ooh-lala to say, so Ciao everyone...and someday, somewhere, I'll post an intriguing and eye-catching and suspenseful and exciting blog.
| Mann...I'm starting to feel this xanga this is worthless. People only wanted to read about my experience down under, and my life at Rochester just doesn't seem to carry the same significance. Can't seem to figure out why though...
Last weekend was a blast. Pia "surprised" me, the quotation marks thanks to Andy. That lovable SOB accidentally sent a page intended for Pia to my pager, and gave away the whole thing. Nonetheless, Pia's presence made my weekend. Luke and lopresti dropped into town...always a delight to see them. Weekend was wayy too fast.
I remember being hot at Zekes...and then I remember kissing Pia goodbye. and everything else in between was a delightfully fun blur. I do remember romping all over Gallaudet in all sports...wasn't much of a challenge there. Wallyball won 2-1, Soccer won 3-0, and football won 13-6, but the margin of victory should have been much greater. I'll give the Gallaudet women their due credit...they did beat our women. Hmm...I feel like I'm just rambling, and don't really want to post anything more.

| Hmm...April's here. March Madness is coming to an end. Would have won my pools if MSU advanced to the championship...but somehow, I knew it would come down to UNC-Ill. Kinda ironic though...while in Aussie, me and Mike decided to pick 5 teams that we thought would win the champs, and if we chose correctly, we would get an all-expenses paid trip to BW3. Our first picks, without having a clue what was going on in college basketball was Illinois (me) and UNC (him)...so I guess I'm cheering for the fightin' illini'.
Anyone get fooled good? Share your stories...Mr. Lawson got me damn good. It was Friday night, and we were all chilling in the apartment, getting ready to go to the party. Lawson shows up...I go into my room, and the doorbell rings, I don't come out, knowing that E, Ange, Andy, Law, whoever would answer it...When I do come out, Ange is like, Campus Safety just stopped by with a letter for you. And I'm like, uhh, okay, WTF! I read the letter, and it says I've been put on disciplinary probation...and I'm just nearly flipping out, trying to figure out what the hell I did. The only thing I could think of was that Campus Safety came by a few nights earlier because I somehow left my car running through the night, and they stopped by at like 2am to tell us the car was running, and to turn it off. So I'm like...NO WAY, I so did not get on probation for that...and I run out hoping to catch Campus Safety, but knowing very well that they wouldn't be able to do anything *Don't shoot the messenger* I storm back into the apartment, and everyone's cracking up...apparently Lawson has some friends in high places who were able to duplicate the RIT letterhead, and make the letter look convincing. That, my friends, is a DAMN good April Fool's Prank.
Best TV Show ever: 24 I nearly shat in my pants when I found out Katie has seasons 1 through 3, and I'm so pumped...gonna be hooked to the tube watching that...
Movies: Saw Ladder 49, RSVP, Meet the Parents over the weekend...RSVP was so-so, Ladder 49 was poignant, and Meet the Parents downright hiliarious. Can't wait for Meet the Fockers.
